There are several different types of wireless link equipment. Each one plays a different role in providing a Wide Area Network.
WiFi Access Points. A WiFi network is the backbone for any modern business, and a good WiFi access point will allow your devices to access the network without any issues. Access points come in several designs - they can sit on a desk, mount to the ceiling or even live outdoors. Different access points are available for differently-scaled networks.
PTMP (Point To Multi-Point) wireless links offer coverage over line-of-sight distances up to 2km. They are inexpensive, easy to configure and once set up, they can easily bridge your network from A to B. PTMP wireless links can also be used together to create a partial mesh network. They are a perfect and reliable backbone for a CCTV network when cables aren't an option.
Licensed wireless links offer improved coverage distances and improved signal levels of their license-free counterparts. Licensed links offer exclusivity to a higher band of frequencies than that used in a typical WiFi system. Also known as "fixed wireless backhaul", they are more popular than their license-free counterparts as a result of noise interference in the unlicensed wireless spectrum.

PIR (Passive InfraRed) technology allows PIR Sensors to detect when an object is moving, before triggering the devices associated with the sensor. PIR Sensors can be used as part of a number of different solutions – lighting, security alarms and alerts, CCTV, automatic gates, remotely operated switches and appliances, and more.
PIR Sensors have a wide range of commercial and domestic applications – you can fit new wireless mains switches without cables, remotely control lights and appliances with a keyfob, trigger audible alerts to visitors and more.
PIR Sensors can be used to trigger security lights, alarms and CCTV cameras. When someone walks within range, the PIR Sensors will activate your lights and/or alarm system. CCTV cameras can also be used with PIR Sensors, to start filming the moment they detect movement.
Electronic gates, garage doors and other features can be operated with PIR Sensors. The PIR Sensor will trigger when it detects a vehicle approaching, and this will trigger the electronic gates or doors to open.
